Last year so Ron and I have to play together.  Figured we'd go out with Sam Moen so we'd have the
only three players present from the 1983 PGO.  Ron, Easy and Sam teamed up last year with Mike Wherlock
and won the PGO with Easy sinking a very long putt on the 18th hole to give them a one shot lead and
PGO championship.  Ron continues to play golf every single day.  I will get the clubs out on June 27th for my
first round of golf since January 31st.  After finishing on the last place team next year I hope I have only one way
to go, and that's up (and I don't mean in the score)!  Easy's already ready and Sam's always consistent!

Greig lost his buddy and picked up veteran "A" player Karl Schmitt to fill in.  Karl's consistent and one of our key "A" players
from past years (shot a solid 81 on each of the two previous Friday Shootouts).
He's led his team to a -5 under par in all three years and looking to capture his first championship.  Teaming up with very
strong "B" player Kevin Hanson will make this a very good team.  Terry Hubert returns after a five year
absence reporting that his game has improved since last time out!  Greig fills out the team and says they should be in the running!

Scotty and 2nd year player Joe Imherr paired up last year for a fourth place finish at -3 under.  This year they add veterans Walt Wilson
and Roy Ramsey to the team.  Scott and Walt both capable of some very long tee shots.  Solid team all around.  Should do well this year.

1990 PGO Champ Craig Howery returns with his 1992 Sudden Death Team intact. These are the guys that forced
the first sudden death playoff in PGO history with Don Navis'   incredible chip shot from off the green on the 18th hole
to tie the PGO.  Craig hits em a long way (LD in both 88 and 96).  Should be a solid team again!

1992- Most remembered shot! He skulls his wedge shot from off the fringe on the 18th hole,
ball hits the pin, jumps into the air and falls into the hole.  This forces
the first PGO Sudden death playoff in PGO History.  Unfortunately Walt Wilson's 25 foot putt
goes in and this team ends up with 2nd place.

TEAM #5

5 Vermilye, Denny 87 Hanson, Dan 92 McGuire, Tim 90 Bock, Randy 95

Denny leading a team after last year's 9th place par finish.  Denny's added a rescue club and a new
driver to the bag and has been doing a lot of golfing in Rockford for a month.
This year's team looks to be
much stronger with some big help off the tee with long driver's Dan Hanson and Tim McGuire.
First year player Randy Bock comes in as an "unknown"and a 95 average.  If they all gel it could be a much better finish than last year.

7 Dickey, Brian 84 Nehls, Wayne 95 Wilson, Keith 105 Fulbright, Rick 108

Brian Dickey returns after a year's absence and looking to get a PGO win.  Long hitter.  Rumor has it that Reggie's been hitting
the ball very well at Sandy Hollow Golf Course in Rockford lately.  Solid help with Keith Wilson and Rick Fulbright (may have been
the most improved player in last year's Friday Tournament).  Rick's average was 125-130 and last year with new clubs came out and
shot a 106.  I think he's found his game.  Another solid team.

TEAM #8

8 Dickey, Kurt 85 Bowie, Tony 90 Filipski, Mike 107 Kincade, Larry 106

Three time PGO Champ Kurt Dickey also back after a year's layoff.  Last year he got into racing and put golf on the
backburner...now he says he's going to be playing a lot this summer.  Expects his average to be down close to 82 by PGO
time.  Tony C. Bowie, solid every year and very consistent will offer good help all around.  Mike "Iron Man" Filipski is
back after after missing the past two years and also capable of some very long drives and long iron shots.  Larry's always had
a great touch around the greens and has an excellent short game.  Should be a very strong team!

9 Smith, Bill 81 Atkinson, Allan 92 Schaich, Steve 105 Passo, Chuck 106

Wayne led his team to a 4th place tie finish last year (-4 under).  This year he's got Allan "Ryder Cup" Atkinson who's
capable of "cracking" (as shown in photo above) a good shot from anywhere.  The Schaichster and pal Chuck Passo both
capable of good shots.  If they can come together at the right time they will do well again.

TEAM #10

11 Lawdan, Ed 84 McKernan, Brendan 88 Special, Pat 95 Bock, Warren 130??

Ed Lawdan returns.  Probably one of the longest, if not the longest, hitter in the field.  Led team to PGO Championship in '05
and in '06 his team finished at -5 under.  Always has come up with a strong finish.  Past veteran player Brendan McKernan back
for the final and bringing in a 90 average.  Pat's always consistent and hits a long ball and has excellent short game.  Long time
PGO player Warren Bock  returns in search of the championship.  Has been studying the Phil Mickelson "Golfing for Lefties" and says
he's got his average down to 125.

TEAM #11

12 Rick Mikkelson 80 Art Habegger 100 Roger Limbach 95 Steve Hepburn 95

Rick "2nd Place" Mikkelson back still trying to get that championship.  Has finished 2nd place quite a few times and got into the sudden death
playoff, but has failed to win it all.  Teaming up with three of the four PGO Record Holding Teammates as they go for one last victory together.
Rick is long off the tee and solid all around.  Art's ALWAYS down the middle and has an excellent short game.  Both Roger and Steve have a nice
game and are capable of helping out on each shot.  This could be a VERY strong team!  Expect them to do well.

TEAM #12

13 Drew Pelland 82** Ryan Pelland 83** Blake Pelland 84** Jack Pelland 102

Twenty three year PGO veteran Jack Pelland has spent the past 24 years wanting to be an "A" player and lead a team.
He figured he could do it this year by inviting his three sons up and having an all "Pelland" team.  Unfortunately his
oldest son Drew has gotten hold of his clubs and started playing more than Jack.  Note: The pictures above are from
8 years ago and the boys are not quite as young as they look in the pics.  All are jocks and unfortunately for Jack he's
been demoted to a "D" player.  Note: Averages listed above may be for 9 holes?

Slammer!  PGO's most "starred" player (five PGO championships) will team up with Mike Wherlock (last year's PGO Championship
team member), Dave and Eric for the final match.  Mike's been playing a lot, very consistent.  Dave's playing every Sunday and reports
in to me each week on how he's progressing (or digressing).  It's about 50-50.  Eric stays right at that 114 mark year.  Both Dave and Eric
are great in reading the putts and I expect this team to be in the hunt!
